Four juvenile are in custody for burglary after getting a flat tire on their getaway vehicle, Tulsa police say.

An alert neighbor called officers to the 10100 block of East 27th Street around 3 a.m. Sunday. The neighbor told police he saw several suspects in his elderly neighbor's back yard.

Records show the burglars forced entry into the home then left. The neighbor gave police a description of the burglars, and officers found them at 2300 South 104th East Avenue.

"The suspects appeared to be attempting to change the tire on their getaway vehicle," an officer said.

The investigation also matched shoe impressions in the backyard of the home with the shoes the suspects were wearing. The neighbor also positively identified the suspects, police say.

All four were booked on complaints of first-degree burglary. There was no word on what the juveniles stole.
