With Christmas just a couple of days away, a lot of Oklahomans are looking for ways to give back to the community.
Wednesday night, Tulsa City Councilors helped serve meals at the John 3:16 Mission.
The leaders of the mission think opportunities like this help City Council members.
Chaplain Ronn Glosson said, "The things they expressed to me tonight is it is an educational thing for them, which will help them in their decision making in the future."
"A lot of people are needing help and they need to know that people do care about them, And this is a good way to show that we do care," said Tulsa City Councilor Jack Henderson.
During the holiday season, the John 3:16 Mission normally feeds at least 150 people during each evening chapel service.
