The Oklahoma River Warriors are working to clean up the state's waterways. On Saturday, crews are picking up trash on about a quarter mile of the Arkansas River banks in Tulsa.
The temperature is sunny and cold, volunteers say it's perfect for a river makeover. Organizer Scott Hood said it's a big job, but it all begins with one bottle.
"The river is a carrying spot, it brings trash from up river, down river, so we're going to pick up trash," he said. "You've got to start somewhere."
Hood said it's an important thing to pick up after yourself, and it's a great way to get involved in making your community a better place to live. About 60 people have turned out Saturday morning to do their part.
They'll be picking up trash through about 9 a.m., but if you miss Saturday's effort, there will be others in the future.
