Christmas morning will be a little brighter for thousands of families, thanks to generosity of many in Green Country.
The Salvation Army Joy Center on Friday began delivering this year’s Angel tree donations.
They say people donated enough to hand out nearly 10,000 toys and gifts, plus fill more than 4,000 food baskets.
"This is about giving back,” the Salvation Army’s Maj. April Taylor said. “This is about hope, bringing hope to people in difficult times."
The Salvation Army will distribute more gifts and food baskets tomorrow from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and again on Monday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
