One Secret Santa made Christmas for 114 Oklahoma families, and it makes a huge impact for each and every one.
"I never thought that something like this would happen to me and my family," said Tonya Ramsey.
Christmastime brings out the best in people. Thursday at a Tulsa Walmart, people for whom December brings the insecurity of being able to give their families a good Christmas, saw the heart of a perfect stranger.
"It was a surprise. I had no idea it was going to happen,” stated Whitni Johnson.
"[It’s] really, really a blessing," added Jinnie Horta.
Ramsey had been saving up for one of the season's hottest gifts. “An Xbox 360, that’s the big gift. I didn't think I was going to be able to get it,” she emotionally explained. "I had thought I'd been able to save up for it, but bills kept coming and kept coming and kept coming."
Augustus Caine was also surprised. "I was just shocked, I mean, I was just stunned," he said.
Caine now gets to see his six-year-old daughter get a bicycle on Christmas morning. "I can't wait to see her face,” he added.
He says he won't lie and say it's from him. "I'm just going to tell her and say there was somebody out there watching and hearing and God just went through their heart and they made your Christmas a good one," he elaborated.
Horta received a $100 gift card to use however she chooses. She has had strep and hasn't been able to work for weeks. The gift is a weight lifted.
"Thank you so much, because without it a lot of families wouldn't be able to put Christmas under the tree," she said.
"You just made my grandkids and kids' dreams come true. Thank you," Ramsey said tearfully.
When you look at it, these are all just things. But really, this secret Santa has given so much more.
