A little rain didn't stop the show at this year's Tulsa Christmas Parade.

"I think it's enjoyable and fun for those people out there," said parade attendee Kaden Woods.

Hundreds lined the streets and many came prepared with boots, jackets and too many umbrellas to count.

Shawn Speed took a chance and left her rain gear at home. "I'm not really prepared," she stated.

Good thing for her and dozens of others, there were awnings around parade-goers took advantage of.

"I just wanted to come out and have fun," explained Woods.

In all, there were about 80 entries in the parade. Just before it got started, organizers vowed Mother Nature would not affect the parade.

As float after float made its way down the parade route, the rain would often stop then start again.

Cortez Beasley says he and his one-year-old son came prepared to get wet.

"We came to enjoy ourselves,” said Beasley. “But as you can see, we [aren’t going to] let the rain stop us. We are still [going to] hold it down."

He says because of all the rain, he may be sick in the morning but sharing this experience with his son will be worth it.

But, did the parade hold up to all the other years?

“I think it's a little better to tell you the truth, besides the rain," said Beasley. "But then again, the rain made it a little better."
