Kevin Durant played Santa to the homeless children of Oklahoma City’s Positive Tomorrows by donating $35,000.
The money will be used to build a kitchen for the school so the cooks won’t have to wake up extremely early and prep breakfast and lunch from their own homes.
The donation will also help create some free space to educate more of OKC’s homeless youth.
Oklahoma’s number of homeless children is over 43,000.
For kids that are homeless, food is often a critical necessity that they may not be getting on a regular basis due to living out of cars, hotels or moving frequently. With Durant’s donations many kids will be fed and more energetic throughout their days.
In his 3rd time at @ptokc, Kevin surprised the kids. He wanted to "buy them some hope, excitement & happiness." pic.twitter.com/Ox0Exfv2E9
