A woman is headed to jail after deputies said she led them on a high-speed chase early Thursday.
They said the chase ended with the driver crashing into a house.
Deputies said the they arrested the driver, Quenisha Crook, near the scene at Pine and the Tisdale Expressway after she ran away. They booked Crook on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance verification and driving under suspension.
They said she told them her name was Kimberly, but deputies said they learned Kimberly is her sister's name.
Her passenger, Jennifer Patton, surrendered immediately and claimed she didn’t know Crook, TCSO said. We’re told Patton will be booked for joyriding.
Around 3 a.m., a deputy said he spotted a car that was driving suspiciously, and when he tried to pull it over, Crook took off and entered the expressway.
On the highway, the deputy said Crook hit 90 miles per hour, exited at Pine and crashed into a home.
No one was inside the home, and there is no visible major damage to the home.
