Will Jenks keep it going in 2015?

"I want it pretty bad, probably worse than anything I've ever wanted in my life,” said Trojans quarterback Cooper Nunley. “It means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to them too."

Jenks senior lineman Tyler Thomas also has high hopes for another Gold Ball. "Not only is it a state championship, not only is it a legacy, but you don't want to be part of the class that loses it," he said.

Coach Allan Trimble says he’s really enjoying this senior class and he wants to see his team tally another title. "Selfishly speaking, I really hope they can pull it off, but we really enjoyed this senior class. They've got a lot of wins under their belt; we're really hoping they can pull it off," added Trimble.

Well in order for the Trojans to get their fourth consecutive Gold Ball, they'll have to beat Broken Arrow, who got the best of them in Week 8. So, what do the Trojans feel they need to correct in order to win?

"Turnovers, I turned the ball over late in the fourth quarter that gave them a chance to score and take the lead and I don't want to do that again," Nunley recalled.

"BA came over here and took the game,” Trimble explained. “They played well, they played hard and they finished. It's definitely going to be a challeng[ing] game for us offensively, and then they got great skill guys for their offense."

Thomas believes his team’s passing game will be better this go.

"They didn't run the ball on us. That's tough to do, especially with their running back. He's a very good running back,” he explained. “I think we're going to be better in the passing game too, so I don't think they'll have anything to answer. [If] they can't run, they can't pass, can't win."

At the very least, a convincing win over rival Union last week has them thinking they're at their best at the right time of the season.

"We just needed to know that we were capable ourselves of getting ready, coming out first half and attacking,” said Thomas. “We weren't going to wait for anyone and I think that helped us a lot. It's not really revenge for me; it's proving to everyone, including them, that we're better than that."

"Having been there three times in three years really makes it better and calms your nerves a little bit," added Nunley.

A preview of their opponent is coming later this week.
