One of Tulsa's police stations needs a lot of repair work after they say a man rammed his car through the station's gate and started crashing into patrol cars. It happened at the TPD's Gilcrease Division near U.S. Highway 7 and 36th Street North.
Officers patrol downtown, north Tulsa and parts of west Tulsa from Gilcrease. Now they have to secure the gate as best they can until city crews can arrive to survey the damage.
Police say Isaiah Tiger rammed through the gate with his 1994 Buick Century sedan around 1 a.m., and then crashed into a police SUV. He then smashed out his own car window, got out, got into a police car, and hit his own car - and then backed into another police car.
Officer Wes Johnson saw the last crash and arrested Tiger. After they arrested him, a sergeant told us Tiger was rambling about how he wanted help and he was getting ready to die. The sergeant also said Tiger admitted to using PCP and marijuana. Police found the marijuana in his car.
An arrest report states Tiger's eyes were blood shot and he was very talkative. He reportedly said he had taken acid a year ago and thought he was "tripping again."
A drug evaluation opinion included on the arrest report states Tiger wasn't under the influence at the time of the exam.
Isaiah Manuel Tiger, 19, was booked on complaints of auto theft, damage to city property, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of marijuana and trespassing.
