As Thanksgiving gets closer and closer, so does a storm that could bring a lot of rain with it.
The holiday weekend will start off nice with temperatures in the 50s to start off Wednesday morning. Then, Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer says, as we go through the day the chance of rain increases.
Meyer said afternoon temperatures will reach the 60s with a few chances of sprinkles before things take a turn.
Thanksgiving Day will see temperatures in the 60s with a strong south wind to start off the day. Meyer says by afternoon a storm system will move in from the west bringing heavy rains and some thunder.
Rain will continue overnight and into Friday where temperatures are expected to drop.
Meyer said we can expect morning temperatures to range in the 30s with near freezing in some areas.
The chance of heavy rain is expected to drop, but the weekend will see a second system move in overnight Friday and into Saturday which could bring more showers.
