Eleven days after the terrorist attacks in Paris, a new CBS poll shows only 23 percent of Americans think President Barack Obama has a clear plan for dealing with ISIS.
Fifty percent of Americans also say they support sending combat troops to Syria and Iraq to fight ISIS.
Oklahoma Senator James Lankford serves on the intelligence committee. He spoke at the Tulsa Regional Chamber meeting Monday.
Lankford says he doesn't believe the President has a clear strategy for getting rid of ISIS. He said military action may be needed, at least for a little while.

"America should do what it takes to be able to defeat them, because they are coming to us," said Senator James Lankford, R-Okla.
"Now do I think boots on the ground are needed for them long term - no, I do not think that is true."
Senator Lankford says he believes the first step in defeating ISIS is removing Syria's president.
