A truck driver held a drunk driving suspect at gunpoint until troopers could arrest him, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The OHP arrested Tyson Schunk, 33, of Tulsa at 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2015.

According to the OHP, Schunk was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound on the Will Rogers Turnpike near the Pine Street underpass when it hit the wall multiple times and kept going. A witness called dispatch to report the Corolla being driven erratically, the trooper wrote.

A truck driver finally forced Schunk to stop and then held him at gunpoint when he tried to run away, the OHP report stated. The trooper said Schunk drove about two miles after the first collision until the truck driver forced him to stop.

According to the trooper, Schunk did not know he'd been in a collision. He said Schunk failed three field sobriety tests and that two breathalyzer tests registered .19 and .18 blood alcohol content.

The trooper arrested Schunk for aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an accident and booked him into the Rogers County Jail. He was released later Sunday when he posted a $2,000 bond.
