Former Arkansas Swim Coach Wanted In Tulsa For Soliciting Child Porn

An arrest warrant has been issued in Tulsa County for a former Arkansas swim coach.

Court records show Stephen Duwel, 50, of Rogers, Arkansas is wanted for lewd molestation and soliciting child pornography in Oklahoma. The charges were filed on November 18.

KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, reports Duwel, the former Northwest Arkansas Aquatics Sharks head coach, was arrested in July, after police said he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy.

Court documents say Duwel had met an Arkansas teenager on the mobile application “Grindr,” which labels itself as a service for finding local “gay, bi and curious guys.”

A police report said the boy had set his age as 18 on the application, but later told Duwel he was only 14.
