Folks attending the Jenks Christmas Parade had a lot to celebrate Saturday morning. The Jenks Trojan Band marched in the parade in preparation for their Rose Bowl Parade appearance on New Year's Day.
The annual Kiwanis Club Christmas parade on Main Street was very well attended despite the chilly temperatures. Parade entries - including the News On 6 WARN Team meteorologists and storm chasers - marched through town and ended crossing the bridge at 96th Street.
The fun didn't end there. Trojan Pride performed holiday tunes and other numbers at the Kohl's parking lot following the parade.
Members of the Jenks School District, Jenks city officials, Jenks Campus Police, Jenks and Tulsa Police Departments and the Kiwanis Club all joined together in the event.
"The Rose parade rally recognizes the significance of the Trojan Pride marching in the Rose Parade and the honor it brings to the entire community," said Jenks Public Schools Communications Specialist Willie Braggs III.
Jenks also beat Union 33 to 17 in round two of the high school playoffs Friday night.
