Second Teen Arrested In Tulsa Murder

Police arrested a second teen wanted for the murder of Ronald Dinkins.

Tulsa Police said they tracked Norman Gaines, 18, to the Tulsa Inn and Suites near I-44 and Memorial early Wednesday. Police had been looking for Gaines since October 29 when Dinkins was shot and killed during a robbery outside a home on 31st Street North near the Gilcrease Expressway.

Police said the other teenager, Edwin Harris, 19, turned himself in last month.

Detectives said they located Gaines after getting information that his girlfriend was staying at the Tulsa Inn and Suites.  Officers said they knocked on the girlfriend's door early Wednesday and found Gaines in the room.  

They booked Norman Gaines into the Tulsa County jail on charges of first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm. Jail records show Gaines is being held without bond pending a court appearance on November 25.
