American Airlines is recognizing veterans who served in the Vietnam War.
Wednesday, 100 of the company's employees and family members who served during the era were thanked and recognized.
The ceremony falls on the 50th anniversary of the first U.S. ground troops deploying to Vietnam.
Veterans who attended the ceremony, like Kirk Myers, said it's nice to have their service recognized in a positive way.
"It feels good. I mean they didn't treat us right back when it all happened but, people are recognizing what do for the country and it feels good," Myers said.
The ceremony also paid tribute to former prisoners of war, veterans who are unaccounted for, and those who have died.
