Mayes County Sheriff's deputies say a man who sparked a Pryor-area manhunt is in protective custody.
Northeast Technology Center's Pryor campus canceled morning classes but re-opened at noon. Nearby Osage Public Schools canceled classes Wednesday because of that manhunt.
The search for the man began Tuesday afternoon after he crashed his pickup and ran off. Northeast Technology Center placed its Pryor campus on lockdown and canceled Tuesday evening classes.

The man's family told deputies the man had been drinking, had a firearm and wanted to harm himself.
Sheriff's deputies said the unidentified man was serving a suspended sentence and violated the terms of his sentence. They also said the man had been texting his family and girlfriend throughout the night- saying if the sheriff's office leaves, he would come out.
"Sometime this morning he did communicate with a family member and then he came out of the woods and went into protective custody with the Mayes County Sheriff's Office. Hopefully we will be able to get this man the help he needs," said Sheriff's Office Captain Rod Howell.
