The Oklahoma Tax Commission shut down 15 Church's Chicken restaurants in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas.

A note on the door of the Pine and Lewis location in Tulsa says the restaurant's permit was revoked for failure to pay taxes.

The Oklahoma Tax Commission said the franchise owner owes $434,000 in taxes.

The Tax Commission said the 15 locations are owned by Reciprocity Restaurant Group which has one sales tax permit for all the locations. A spokesperson said the commission notifies businesses when they get behind on their payments and tries to work with them on a payment plan. If it must close the business, it revokes the business's license.
