GPS Leads OHP To Stolen Missouri Truck In Tulsa

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says it arrested a Webb City, Missouri man after he ran from a stolen flatbed truck in Tulsa Sunday afternoon.  

Troopers said the truck, loaded with lumber, was reported stolen out of Joplin, Missouri.

The OHP got a call from the truck's owner, who said the truck's GPS showed it was parked in the 2700 block of South Memorial.  Troopers said Joseph Tyndall was standing next to the truck and when he saw the OHP patrol cars he took off running.  

"Found a guy standing around the semi. Told him to stop. Guy took off running. Saw him throw a gun," said OHP Trooper Jamie Guinn. 

Troopers tackled Tyndall about a block from where the truck was parked.  They also recovered the handgun.

They booked Joseph Tyndall into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to elude.  Jail records show Tyndall was being held on a $11,250 bond with a court appearance set for October 26.
