Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the names of some of the people involved in a Muskogee County pursuit that ended in a crash Saturday afternoon. A 23-year-old woman is in critical condition and a juvenile female also remains hospitalized.
The male driver had only minor injuries, according to a collision report.
Muskogee County deputies tried to stop a Ford Expedition a little before 4 p.m., but Muskogee resident David Morris took off instead, according to authorities. Speeds reached up to 75 mph on dirt roads before Morris crashed into a tree on 93rd Street just west of 94th Street, a collision report states.
The three people inside the Ford were trapped and had to be freed by Wainwright and Oktaha firefighters. Peyton Turner, a 23-year-old Muskogee woman, was taken to a Tulsa hospital by Life Flight. Troopers says she is in critical condition with head and other injuries.
A 17-year-old Muskogee woman, who was not named due to her age, was also taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital where she is said to be stable with head and other injuries.
Morris, 35, was treated and released for minor injuries.
