Mowing Crew Finds Man's Body Near I-40 In Muskogee County

A mowing crew discovered the body of a man on the side of Interstate 40 near the Muskogee Turnpike exit Thursday. Webbers Falls Police said the man's body has been transferred to the Medical Examiner's office to determine identification, manner and cause of death.

Muskogee Now reports the man was shot in the chest.

Webbers Falls PD said they took a missing person's report on Monday, and there may be a connection based on the clothing description of the man found dead.

They are waiting for results from the medical examiner to continue the investigation, News On 6 was told.
