Seven teens are in custody after police say they stole from a QuikTrip, hopped in a car and led officers on a chase.

It all started just after 3 a.m. Friday. Police tried to pull the teens over near Sheridan and 11th, but they didn't stop.

Officers say they were called by workers at a QuikTrip near Sheridan and 11th. The employees told them six minors had just stolen some items and then left in a Chevy Suburban.

Police were in the area, spotted the vehicle and tried to stop it.

Officers say the vehicle took off northbound on Sheridan into a neighborhood, crashed into a fire hydrant and then kept driving. Police say the SUV eventually stopped on Braden near Haskell.

Police said there were seven people in the SUV and officers arrested them all - the driver on an eluding complaint and the rest on curfew violations.
