Former Florida governor Jeb Bush announced Tuesday that Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt will chair a task force in Bush's campaign
Bush said Pruitt will lead a group dubbed "Restoring Federalism Task Force."
Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush was in Oklahoma City Tuesday to attend a campaign fundraiser.
Elected as the state's AG in 2010, Pruitt has made fighting the federal government in court a centerpiece of his administration.
He created a federalism unit within the office and has filed numerous lawsuits against the federal government over the Affordable Care Act and environmental, banking and immigration regulations.
Scott Pruitt said he is excited to work with Jeb Bush.
"I am honored to serve as Governor Bush's National Chairman of Federal-State Relations. Governor Bush is the only candidate in the race for President that has a plan to bring a much needed structural reset between the relationship of the federal government and states to make Washington less consequential in our lives," said Scott Pruitt.
