Hundreds of people lined up Monday, hoping they had what it took to ‘come on down’ on the Price is Right.
News On 6 and the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel hosted a casting call for the iconic CBS game show.
The group of Price is Right super fans all got their numbers and the signature price sticker name tag as they waited to audition.
Each Price is Right hopeful went into a room with a camera crew and got 30 seconds to tell why they want to be on the game show and why they should be picked.
We heard a lot of folks say they've watched the show all their lives and that it's on their bucket list be a contestant.
The show's executive producer said they're looking for real people with real energy, and there was no shortage of enthusiasm among those at the casting call.
“I was just hollering out. I was giving my energy. That's what they need is energy, and I have plenty of it,” said Tulsa resident, Pam Garrison. “All I want to hear is those words come out of George's mouth that says, 'Pam Garrison, come on down, you are the next contestant on the Price is Right.' I would love that.”
Two people from Monday's casting call will be selected to go to the Price is Right show and one of them will be guaranteed a contestant spot.
The show doesn't always select contestants this way, but this is a special and unique opportunity.
