A decade-old dream came true Monday for a Tulsa Non-Profit agency.

Tulsa Cares broke ground on a new $3 million, 16,000 square foot building near 11th and Harvard, which used to be an old church.

Tulsa Cares provides support for Oklahomans living with HIV and AIDS.

Executive Director Shannon Hall said while the new building is remarkable, they're still hoping for a cure.

"The best thing that could have happened is that somebody would have walked up today and said, 'you know, we found a cure for this. You're going to have to give the keys to someone else.' We'd all rejoice and be thrilled to death. It's the best thing that could possibly happen," he said.

There are more than 500 people living with HIV and AIDS in northeast Oklahoma.
