Man Tased, Arrested After Tulsa Pursuit

A person is Tased after leading a Tulsa County sheriff's deputy on a chase.

Around 3:00 Sunday morning, the Sheriff's Office said a deputy tried to pull a car over near 51st and Memorial for a traffic stop when the vehicle took off.

The car tried to take a turn too fast near Garnett and ended up crashing in a creek.

Police said the driver, 30-year-old Russell Barton, tried to run but was Tased and arrested.

According to jail records, Barton is being held on a $2,606.50 bond for several complaints including DUI, eluding and resisting arrest.
