Construction is still at least a year away to build sidewalks leading to Eliot Elementary in Brookside, even though Tulsa got a grant to pay for the project two years ago.

The school was built in 1928 and has sidewalks around it, but none are leading to it.

With congested traffic, parents and students have to walk in the street.

It took two years for the money to come in so design work is about to start, and construction will start in a year to 18 months.
