Jaws Of Life Used At Tulsa Wreck; Two Taken To Hospital

Emergency crews responded a wreck near Pine and Yale just before 4:00 p.m. and requested the Jaws of Life.

The Tulsa Fire Department had to request the Jaws of Life at a Tulsa wreck Thursday afternoon.

Tulsa Police said the three-car accident happened around 3:00 near the Pine and Yale intersection. They said one person had to be cut out using the Jaws of Life.

They said two cars were going south through a green on Yale when another vehicle headed west on Pine ran a red light and hit the other two.

According to police, the driver of a white SUV was cut out using the Jaws of Life and taken to the hospital. The driver of a black SUV, who police say caused the wreck, was also take to the hospital.

Injury conditions are unknown at this time for the two taken to the hospital, but police said the third driver is expected to be OK.

Police are still investigating, and didn't say if the driver who caused the wreck would be ticketed.
