Motorcycle Rider Hits Barrel In Tulsa Construction Zone

A motorcycle rider was hurt when his bike clipped a sand-filled traffic barrel Wednesday evening.    

Officers said the crash occurred on 36th Street North at Highway 169 just before 8:45 p.m. They said the rider was headed east on 36th Street North when he struck the barrel causing him to crash.  

EMSA took the man to a Tulsa hospital with what police said were serious but not life-threatening injuries. Officers said the man was not wearing a helmet. They did not release his name.
