OHP: Porum Man Killed In Muskogee County Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 52-year-old Porum man died in a Labor Day two-car crash on Highway 2 in Muskogee County Monday evening.

The OHP says the crash happened just before 7 p.m. about a mile north of Porum.  

Troopers said a 2013 Chevy Cruze driven by Shawn McMinn, 41 of Muskogee was headed south when he ran off the highway, overcorrected and hit a northbound 1995 Toyota Camry driven by Edward Martin of Porum.

McMinn was flown by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition.  A nine-year-old passenger from Porum in McMinn's car was taken to a Muskogee hospital. There is no word on his condition.

The OHP says Edward Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
