Tulsa's Coffee Bunker has $30,000 more to support its mission - thanks to the generosity of Spirit Aerosystems and its employees. The Bunker supports local veterans - by connecting them to a number of resources, including help with jobs and housing.
Spirit employees, through their Good Neighbor Fund, raised $15,000 and the company chipped in another $15,000.
"Spirit Aero stepped in and said 'hey, we'll redo your computer lab for you, how much do you need?'" said Jeremy Nickel, Coffee Bunker board of directors. "And then they gave us a lot more than we could've ever imagined so it's been just a huge benefit for our veterans."
The Coffee Bunker is located at 6365 East 41st Street, just west of Sheridan.

"When I come in here, I immediately feel at peace," said Matt Sheets of Spirit Aerosystems. "I feel like I'm with friends and friends that understand me."
The Coffee Bunker started in 2010, serving just a handful of veterans. Now about 50 veterans turn up there every day.
