Five Republicans and two Democrats are running for a state Senate seat left open by a former senator who pleaded guilty to federal charges.
The three-day filing period for the District 34 seat in northeast Tulsa County ended Wednesday.
Five Republicans and two Democrats filed for the post.
A primary election will be held November 10 and the general election will be on January 12.
The seven are seeking to replace Republican former senator Rick Brinkley, who pleaded guilty in August to wire fraud and filing a false tax return.
