A major expansion is coming to one of downtown Tulsa's restaurant.
Fassler Hall plans to add a 3,500-square-foot patio to the south side of its building.
It will be called the Fassler Hall Biergarten and will use a recycled shipping container for a bar along with traditional German wooden picnic benches and umbrellas.
“Beer Hall’s need Beer Gardens,” said Fassler Hall’s Brian Fontaine. “A Biergarten Patio was always part of the plan from the beginning. It just took us awhile to acquire the space.”
Located at 3rd and Elgin, Fassler Hall is part of McNellie's Group, which was founded in 2004. The company operates 13 restaurant, bar and entertainment venues in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Norman.
Fontaine says he will add games and more food-oriented events to the restaurant's schedule.
“Our special events have been very successful,” said Fontaine. He said the garden will accommodate 200 people.
Construction will begin this month and should be complete in time for Oktoberfest celebrations.
