Tulsa Police have three burglary suspects in custody following a foot chase Monday afternoon. Officer Josh Metcalf said two juveniles and one adult are being taken to the detective division to be interviewed.
A patrol officer spotted the men at the Mingo Manor Apartments near 49th and Mingo and recognized them as suspects in some recent home burglaries.
The men took off, and the police helicopter and K9 officers were called in to help search. One suspect was captured quickly, and the other two within about an hour.
They're expected to be booked on complaints of second-degree burglary, according to police.
"It's a major crime that affects everybody, and we try our best to get these suspects off the streets to prevent future victims," Metcalf said.
The officer said that during the foot chase, a driver in the area rear ended another car, but no one was injured.
