Wagoner County Sheriff's deputies wrapped a month-long investigation with a drug bust resulting in two arrests Sunday.
The sheriff's office said while searching a home in the Rocky Point/Whitehorn Cove area in the 33400 block of East 696 Drive deputies arrested a resident of the home and a fugitive they had been looking for.
Deputies and officers with the District 27 Drug Task Force took James Shuffitt, 51, a resident of the home into custody on several drug-related warrants and found Rita Jo Studer, 52, hiding in the home's attic under some insulation on outstanding felony warrants.
Also inside the home, they found over 40 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales and drug paraphernalia.
Both Shuffitt and Studer were booked into the Wagoner County jail. Charges against the pair include possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and possession of a firearm ammunition after a felony conviction.
