Police said several kids were outside near 61st and Peoria Friday afternoon during a drive-by shooting. Tulsa Police said they found 20 bullet casings in the road.

Officers closed off the streets near 61st Street and Madison around 4:00 following the shooting. People living in the area told police a man driving a silver car pulled up, started firing then drove off.

Several homes were hit, but police said even though several people, including children, were outside, no one was hurt.

Right now, police don't know if the man was trying to shoot at anyone in particular

One witness, Patrick Preibe, said the sound of gun fire is way too common in the area.

"I'm just glad to know nobody got hurt. There is always kids out here playing and it's one of the reasons I don't let my daughter play out front. That's why I keep her in the courtyard or in the back,” he said.

There is no clear description of the suspect, but police said they have a couple of leads and they are hoping to track down the person responsible.
