A 49-year-old man charged with first-degree-murder in the shooting death of a Tulsa man in 1997 is in the Tulsa County jail.
Tulsa Police said Irving Dwayne Stewart shot and killed Deon Mack in June 1997. The shooting happened in the 5200 block of South 40th West Avenue.
In February 2015, police said they tracked down Stewart who was serving time in a Georgia prison for aggravated assault.
Stewart was returned to Tulsa and is being held in jail without bond pending a August 24 court appearance.
