Some Good Samaritans wrangled a horse after it was seen running loose on 21 Street near Memorial Friday morning. With the help of some nearby landscapers, Keith Cox put a lead on the horse and tied it to a fence near Moore Funeral Homes Eastlawn.
"I was heading northbound, and I looked over and the horse was standing so still, I thought, 'what an unusual monument,'" said Good Samaritan Keith Cox. Then the horse lowered its head, and it realized it was a horse on the loose.
Cox told News On 6 he had some rope in his truck and the landscapers that were working at a nearby church had a bridle.
"I was afraid it was going to bolt out into the street. Now he's enjoying a nice fescue snack," he said.
Tulsa Animal Welfare was called in to take the horse until its owners could be found.
