Tulsa Police arrested a man they say shot up a stolen car while his girlfriend was in the line of fire Thursday night. Justin Ryan Earles is being held on a $137,000 bond for several complaints including shooting with intent to kill.
Officers were called to an undisclosed location after being told Earles got mad while working on a silver PT cruiser and fired a gun several times into the vehicle. Surveillance video showed the 32-year-old man's girlfriend was "in the direct proximity of gunfire when the rounds were being shot into the PT cruiser," an arrest report states.
Police found Earles walking at 500 South Rockford Avenue and say he threw an object in the grass and started running. The object turned out to be a stolen firearm, the arrest report states.
Earles was taken into custody, and police learned he is on probation from a previous conviction for assault with a dangerous weapon.
He was booked on several complaints including shooting with intent to kill, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and malicious injury to property.
