Former Oklahoma Sooner Jon Gray made his MLB debut Tuesday night for the Colorado Rockies.
During his appearance, he gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits over four innings in Colorado’s 10-4 loss to the Mariners. He also tallied four strikeouts and pitched 43 strikes out of his total 77 pitches.
He gave up two of his allowed runs in the first inning before settling down but finished the night with praise for his powerful fastball.
Gray is expected to ease into the big leagues since his arm isn’t fully adjusted to the length of the professional season.
