A teenager was wounded, and police are looking for the group of men they say followed the victim and opened fire on him after an argument.
Authorities are investigating to find more information on what led up to the shooting.
Officers were called to the 1000 block of North Irvington Avenue just before 2:30 a.m. about shots being fired in neighborhood.
Police found about 10 gun shell casings in the street and pools of blood.
The victim and another person were being followed by a dark-colored Dodge SUV, according to authorities. Police said the two groups started fighting, and someone from the SUV started shooting.
"It appears everything was generalized in the street. We're just hoping to get a better description of the suspects so we can start that phase of the investigation," said Corporal Kevin Warne, TPD.
Police said someone took the teen with the gunshot wound to the hospital after the shooting. The 16-year-old shooting victim had a wound to the upper right arm. Warne said the teen was treated and released from a Tulsa hospital.
The motive for the shooting is unknown, he said.
