OHP: Man Reaching For Cigarette Lighter Crashes Into Pickup

A man crashed his SUV into another vehicle while reaching down to get a cigarette lighter, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.  It happened on eastbound Interstate 244 near 129th East Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Troopers say the driver of a silver SUV was eastbound in the center lane when he reached down for the lighter and drifted into another lane. He hit a red pickup.

Both vehicles left the highway, and the pickup ended up on its side. The man in the SUV had minor injuries while the pickup driver wasn't hurt, authorities said.
