A house fire sparked early Sunday morning in a south Tulsa neighborhood. Crews responded to the call near 61st and Peoria around 4 a.m.
When the fire department arrived they already had smoke and flames coming from the home near 56th and South Madison.
They immediately went inside looking for anyone that might be trapped. Firefighters had to evacuate after the roof started to collapse.
There's quite a bit of damage to the back of the home and the roof.
Authorities believe the fire started in the kitchen, and a fire investigator will work to determine the exact cause.
They say a woman lives at the home but wasn't there when the fire started. We're told she's a caregiver that may be at work.
