Current, Former Rogers County Commissioners Indicted For Embezzlement

A grand jury indicts both a current and former Rogers County Commissioner on charges of embezzlement and conspiracy.

Former commissioner Kirt Thacker is accused of selecting a private contractor to make highway improvements without going through the public bidding process.

Thacker also faces embezzlement charges in Rogers County for using county equipment and employees for work on his own property.

Current commissioner Mike Helm was charged with selling scrap metal belonging to the county and keeping the money for himself.
