Couple Wanted In Murder Lose Officers In Chase, TPD Says

Tulsa detectives think they nearly caught up with two people wanted in connection with a recent murder.

Investigators say they believe Sarah Helton and William Campbell were inside an SUV they were chasing on Wednesday. Police say the two were somehow able to outrun officers during the chase.

Officers did search a car near Pine between Sheridan and Yale and questioned a man, but say he was not involved in the murder of Craig Wingard.

Detectives say Campbell shot Wingard on July 5 and left with Helton.
