Semi Loaded With Steel Rolls Onto Side On Downtown Tulsa Highway

A semi carrying steel rolled onto its side on the ramp from the west leg of northbound IDL onto the Sand Springs Expressway Tuesday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The OHP said the truck driver took the westbound exit ramp too fast, causing the truck to roll onto its side.  EMSA paramedics treated the driver for some bumps and bruises and released him.

The Oklahoma State Department of Transportation closed the exit ramp and blocked one westbound lane of Highway 412 until the truck was be removed from the downtown Tulsa crash scene.

The road and ramp were reopened to traffic by 12:15 p.m.
