Crash Backs Up Rush-Hour Traffic On Highway 169 Near Owasso

A crash backed up southbound traffic on Highway 169 just south of Bird Creek Thursday morning.

At first Tulsa Police said an unmarked patrol car was hit after the officer stopped to help divert traffic, but they later said that didn't happen.

The crash happened at about 6:45 a.m. just south of 56th Street North. Police said a driver lost control after being cut off and the car spun out. 

Police kept one southbound lane open, but the crash backed up traffic for two miles.  

No one has reported any injuries.
