Water Main Leak Closes Tulsa Street

A water main leak has closed 21st Street in both directions just east of Harvard.  

The City of Tulsa says a crew repaired the leak, which was near Jamestown, Monday night, but the crew had to dig across 21st Street to do the job.

Tuesday afternoon the city said the waterline started leaking again under a temporary patch.

Workers are going to place steel plates over the patch and said as soon as they can get asphalt to complete the westbound lanes they will switch traffic to the westbound lanes so crews can repair the line.

The city said they plan to complete the repair by Tuesday, July 14, and have all lanes back open.
