Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the chest outside a Tulsa convenience store late Sunday.

Officers were sent to the Kum & Go in the 4700 block of South Yale near I-44 just before midnight.

Police says a witness told officers that a man had stabbed his friend during a verbal altercation involving three men.  EMSA took the victim to the hospital with what police said was a non-life threatening injury.

The witness said the man got back into a white four-door car driven by a woman, who then drove away.  Officers said the altercation may have stemmed from an earlier road rage incident.

Police say the victim wasn't cooperating with officers and did not give officers a good description of the man who assaulted him.
